Finally the replacement Junkyard surrounds are done.  I looked at the original piece and figured out why it always breaks.  Its just not made to withstand serious abuse.  So we designed a stronger, tougher, better surround that should never break.  Here is what we came up with :

Installation.  Remove the 4 screws holding the existing junkyard surround and transfer them to the new plastic.  Insert each screw into the metal a few turns.  Do not tighten any one all the way down until all the screws have been threaded a few turns.  This will help with any alignment issues.
