Well I've always tried to push the envelope with the "good stuff" so after several years of messing around I thought about some upgrade kits that would be borderline spectacular.  I've looked at chrome and brass plating everything so I made everything in plain steel for games.  I realized early on that this just didn't "do it" for me.  The brass looks great but it is a little too shiny for me . . . same with chrome.

So I had a bunch of ideas and here is the fruit of one of those.

I started with lockdown bars . . . something that adds to the game . . .

So it looks pretty good but legs and rails still look plain . . .

So if the front legs have lightning bolts all the way down and the back legs partially . . . then maybe some lighning bolts on the ends of the rails to match the edges of the lockdown bar . . . well the picture above should give you an idea what I'm after . . .

So I guess the 7 piece kit above is now oficially past prototype stage :-)   Airbrushed, clearcoated with 8 coats polished to perfection . . . the works.   Who would do such a thing?

Guilty as charged I'm afraid . . .  I wish these pictures did justice to the real McCoy . . .

I'll have these at expo for anyone interested in considering such a kit . . . stop by!  Unfortunately I'm only there for Saturday this year.  See you there !
